Thought the comment below that someone (maybe someone on this board?) had put on YouTube abou the lyrics to The Combine was pretty interesting.
"I see the combine coming, It's gonna dust us all to nothing." Agriculture is the foundation of all wealth. Wealth is the way in which man destroys himself and his fellows, it causes mans separation from one another. The agricultural revolution and the industrial revolution created the most massive potential for destruction. This destruction is based simply on being ignorant and irresponsible, which are natural occurrences for any and every Human Being. The more people that are in a certain amount of ignorance or neglect the more dangerous it gets. Humans in large groups are irresponsible if not properly educated. We are destroying ourselves, not the planet, by choosing to live the way in which we all do.

Cant help feeling that the more apocalyptic Biblical references to harvest are how the song first struck me. Jesus's parable of the last judgment particularly. And the inevitability of death- dust to dust an all that. Us and our pets. Either way it's all good upbeat stuff.
