Re: Tour Dates
Where in the UK are you? I'm trying to go to the Belgium show, just found out about Scala, but I fly back from the UK on the 7th, so doesn't really make sense to head back over again so soon.
Don't expect an hour set though, I don't think he plays any longer than 30 minutes..... but if you haven't seen him before, it will be an intense, amazing 30 minutes, which makes it so much better than a long set.

Re: Tour Dates
I am in Exeter in Devon so easy enough to catch a train. Wasn't sure if John was going to come back to the UK for a while so I had to take advantage.
I haven't seen him before and missed the WMBtPCoO tour as I'm relatively newly initiated. Since April I've become a true blue devotee in the Mausspace tradition, greedily devouring everything he's ever done. My sister just saw him at the Hudson River Rocks show in the states and I couldn't cope with my staggering envy indefinitely. Even if it's just a 30 minute set it will be well worth it. I hope he's first on so I don't have to run back for the last train.
I noticed you're in the Netherlands. John Maus seems to have fans scattered all across Europe and was wondering where he has his greatest following. I imagine a large portion of his fanbase is from his native America, but perhaps he's caught on more elsewhere.

He has big fans all over. Marcelo and (I believe) Pedro are from Brazil for instance. I met Marcelo at a show in Tilburg, Netherlands.... so yeah, he has some pretty devoted fans!
I'm from Blackpool btw.

The London gig is further yet for you, then! Hope you get to see one of the gigs this time round at least.
I aim to be in Blackpool for the Rebellion punk festival one of these summers. Punk was my first love so it really must be done.

Hah funny. I'm in Blackpool *that* weekend. I don't think I'll be going, Saturday is probably the only day that I could go if I did.

Gutted it seems I've have recently missed John perform in London. Funnily enough I'm from Exeter, though living in London, and in the space of a friend sending me a link to cop-killer at the weekend have utterly fallen for his extraordinary work, esp Pitless. Am loving his evident depth of character, and that he's a fellow politics post-graduate. Looking forward to a UK performance soon.

Proud to have a fellow Exetarian on here (although I'm really an expatriate American who lives in Exeter now). The London show was definitely well worth my travelling the three and so hours on the train. Maybe I'll see you at the next UK one, PP!

That’s a journey I know well. I‘d love to meet a fellow Exonian, and esp also a John Maus loving one. I'll keep checking here and the FB page for news on any tour dates.

Too bad he isn't on tour anymore. All these videos on YouTube make me sick, his (playback) performances are simplistic and yet profound.

I'm having John Maus show withdrawal symptoms. He confirmed he probably wasn't going to do any gigs for a while, however, and possibly won't even get around to LP4 until the summer when his dissertation is finished. *pines*ricky wrote:I want to see a John Maus show again.

I'm still dying to witness John perform - still hoping it won't be too long until he returns to the UK.

I'd like John Maus to visit Moscow, Russia!
