Portrait Drawing

By me. Be gentle as I'm really struggling to get perspective on it (the picture being my own work), although I have had several positive comments already. For some reason Mausspace was the place I was most terrified to post it. Perhaps because I'm well aware of being amongst fans here who are far more talented in art, animation, music and writing than I could ever hope to be! Anyway, here it is:

I really appreciate the comments from everyone. It has been reblogged on tumblr three times since I posted it so it must not be awful! I haven't had a website since college, but Eugenia's getting me into Society6, where I may be able sell digital copies if anyone is interested in having them. I'm going to try doing at least two pictures a month in different mediums (water color next). Excited about doing some live performance portraits of John and Ariel in the future and hoping they turn out well.

I could draw Ariel, too, if that's what the people want! John's fabulous hair mop is covering his eyes in the photo I drew from, so it covers them in my drawing, too.

It's a bit crap (and certainly not anywhere near the level of the man himself with his grotesque nudey figures), but it's only a sketch.

Well after some time elapsed I wanted to delete it but apparently I can't!

Would you be willing to take requests for other musicians? I think you should do one for Geneva too!

I got insecure and removed it! I think I could do better. Although, amusingly, I remarked at how huge I made his chin look in my drawing and then someone pointed out that that's just Ariel.

I will absolutely take any requests and I think Geneva would be a great muse. Any preference of mediums?
