Well, his birthday isn't until February 23rd, so you're a little early, but I can imagine it might make for a pleasant mid-week surprise for the mausman. 
Typically we just post our birthday wishes on this forum, and he gets them that way because he has an extraterrestrial mind and just knows instinctively when we give him our love.
He knows.
As for inside contacts, I really can't speak to that, but I don't know of anyone who has a direct line of contact with him. Several have met him on at least one occasion. I have not, unfortunately.

I bumped into him at the show in 2011 but was to0 afraid to talk to him. I felt the same with Ariel and Geneva but at least I had nerve enough to say hi and such stuff. I love their music but I just don't wanna cross that line. In fact, I don't think I would want to meet too many people I idolize. These musicians are human too, but just because I adore their music doesn't mean I'd connect with them. I respect their space because I respect their artistic offerings. That's enough for me!

I also concur! John is very approachable. In fact, he approached me first to say hello when I met him.

If I ever see him again i'll try to be brave enough. I remember seeing him accidentally bump into someone at the show, not knowing the person was beside him. John seemed to be very apologetic and he was being sincere. I bet he's the kind of person who helps out whenever someone falls and everyone else is laughing. Don't know if I'm right but I think he's very empathetic person
