sound equipment
I'm curious what John has in his current setup in the rack...I am too busy jumping around during shows to hone in on it and besides the darkness factor. Also, does anyone know what John used in his solo days to play the backing tracks? Curious here
Thanks!

Thanks!

Not sure about what he is using in the rack at the moment but I am pretty sure he used to use a Roland SP-404 for the backing tracks.

Re: sound equipment
Hey I'm AV nerd and I scoped out
John's stage box pretty well at two shows this tour.
For I assume the drum triggers and bass tracks he had about 6 channels worth of DBX rack compressors along the lines of these: https://dbxpro.com/en/products/266xs
And beneath those he had TC Electronic Voicelive Rack: https://www.tc-helicon.com/Categories/T ... CK/p/P0CMF for his vocal channel. This seems like a nice piece of equipment I would love to have someday. He controlled this with a MIDI foot switch that would change the patch and he had each patch labeled for the song they were playing.
Luke had a Arturia Keylab 88 controlling a Macbook Pro. Probably running backing tracks and VSTs off some sort of host for performance like Mainstage (speculation)

Re: sound equipment
Good eye Mmodeen, thank you! I'm preparing for live shows and so curious how they approached the challenge. Those guys carry some serious gear! Alas they are 4 guys, I am trying to go as light as possible for my solo performance. You might dig this, last week I scored a TC Helicon Mic Mechanic 2, maybe very similiar to what he has there on the TC Rack, https://www.tc-helicon.com/search/Tchel ... mechanic+2 I bought the Mod Tone Power Plant to power it and a couple other pedals https://www.modtone.net/power-plant-13.html , sounds like it will help the gear adapt to whatever power comes at it, and most importantly, cleanly. There are 7 DC and a 9-12v AC input(i read someone successfully daisy chain 2 on). Thank you again for sharing your sharp eye!
