This is new, has a clip of a new song, and is probably the best John Maus interview ever.

Nice! Track is "The Crucifix" - he played it live in Tilburg.

I listened to Ariel Pink on Sirius XMU a couple of weeks back and he also mentioned something about not agreeing with what happened with music in the 90s. Good interview for sure. I'm glad I'll finally get to see John Maus next month at the echo in LA!

just based on a couple recent interviews, John maus Lp4 sounds like its going to be great...and the possibility of the end of live performance magnifies the tradgedy of me not being old enough to see him in brooklyn next month.

I personally think album 3 is going to get a lot of press, and I wouldn't be surprised to see a few new faces around these parts! I spoke with John in TIlburg, and he did seem really excited about the 4th album, he seemed really excited to be making music again (which is fantastic!), one thing he did say to me was that he was wanting the 4th album to be more like Songs.

Sounds weird talking about it now, especially when the third album isn't out yet!

How ariel pink says " Can't stop the press".
John Maus will have a bigger audience, and I'd love to see criticism about "We Must..." from the magazines which wrote bad things about Songs !
It's like pitchfork and the 5/10 mark for the doldrums...

"fuck your blog" (it was on times new viking t-shirt)
