John Maus Collaboration Contest

how about we all put our name in a digital hat and whoever wins gets to collaborate on a song with john maus. like, write the lyrics or play drums or whatever, or sing over something he makes. it could be promotion for his new album. john maus working with his demographic. of course john would have to want this so i was considering a way to push him into it like. like a petition to boycott his new album by only downloading it when it gets up on mediafire or something. isn't that a bad idea or what. just for shits you know. kinda a joke, kinda.

Look, I'm all for boycotting John Maus for no reason, but unfortunately I already pre-ordered We Must Become the Pitiless Censors of Ourselves two months ago.

Does anyone know how strict the 21+ thing at the glasslands in brooklyn is? Will they let me in if I wear a shirt that says "I HATE BEER" ? This question is in reference to http://www.last.fm/event/1935540+Puro+I ... +June+2011 . If I actually can go it would be one of the best things ever.

Do you think John, Ariel, Geneva, and so on would have any interest in your art, Travis? It seems that's what you're begging for: some kind of personal correspondence with these "icons" of esoteric pop. How would you profit from the correspondence? What would they get from you?
