That links up with all those Biblical stories spawned by malnourishment...lack of proper food = visions :delaware: ...perhaps the collective intake of all these chemicals, high fructose, etc. has fucked us in terms of collective imagination...that with extensions of technology, i.e. gadgets
Good stuff John!

Okay , we all love his music and when i discovered it , i was so bored and depressed musicaly that It was a spiritual revelation ( musicaly ) but why we want to know and do more and "meet" each other ?
This gathering and forum is very strange .
I mean , for an exemple the band "au revoir simone " , i listen to them since a long time and they are pretty famous , and "original" but i never though to go more into it and when i check on internet ( just curious about their editing and how big the fan community is ) there isn't any forum or active and regroup fans , a lot of fan (myspace,facebook..) , but nothing connect
Just a few years ago it was pretty common for bands to have fan forums. It's just with the rise of Facebook and Twitter, forums have kind of been abandoned for the most part. I think it just wouldn't occur to most people to start one. Dean created a forum for The Unicorns back in the day, so I imagine it seemed natural to him back in 2007 to do this one too

Not to take anything away from the quality of JM or this forum or Dean, but I think if Songs had just come out now and people were just starting to hear of him that the forum would be made

But I do agree there's something about JM's music and musical connections that lend him to discussion by people who will still come and use this forum (and long may it continue), in the way that they wouldn't bother discussing more populat bands outside of somewhere like Drowned In Sound. Everyone's more connected now than ever, but I think there also seems to be a shallowing of those connections so that people are just kind of skimming over everything and each other
