i think i can justify myself being butthurt over this because everything about maus' technique that is being praised in this review was being bashed and criticized 4 years ago in the review of heaven is real. i'm really starting to believe that p4k has been striving to "protect its image" rather than objectively review music. it has become just another music site that is biased upon the hype and thoughts of its followers.

From my understanding, Pitchfork is the US equivalent of the NME. If that's the case then they build scenes, knock them down, build another... it's not unlike WWE wrestling. You have a story, reaches an end, create a new story.
