Does anyone know if John uses female vocalists or is merely pitching his voice using efx to get the female vocal backing sound on some of his songs? One such song in particular is 'Hey Moon'
If he is pitching it using efx, I sure would like to know his method for doing so (efx chain and so forth) as it sounds 'spot on'
BTW, He is living proof that you don't need a room full of overpriced equipment to make damned good music.

The Short~Wave Mystery.
That female vocalist you hear is Molly Nilsson. "Hey Moon!" is originally her song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CZ594IL_wyw
Although I love Molly, I prefer the dueted version. I'd highly recommend checking out her other LPs (and seeing her live if you get the chance). Her "These Things Take Time" album just got the double gatefold reissue treatment on Night School/Dark Skies Association.
Thank you for the kind (and speedy) reply.
Hey Moon is an absolutely lovely song ~ extremely touching.
I will check out Molly's solo work.
Best of luck to ALL of you and your individual and collective musical endeavours.
